The company's Wave Point Sampling (WPS) technology is used to render the 3-D audio on loudspeakers. A configurable audio pipeline architecture is used to simulate the propagation of sound in an environment and a pipeline editor allows the user to turn on or off any of the pipeline stages. A full sound propagation model, including attenuation, air absorption, material absorption, propagation delay, reverberation, and occlusion effects, is used to render audio in real-time. A timeline editor or Open Sound Control (OSC) can then be used to control the behavior of the elements. These elements can include audio files, ReWire, audio or VOIP inputs, scene geometry, or motion paths. The VibeStation application provides an interactive 3-D canvas onto which the user drags scene elements (see Figure 1). The suite is made up of two applications: VibeStation and Profiler. VRSonic's VibeStudio Designer 2 is a three-dimensional audio design suite for composing and rendering spatial audio to binaural headphones and speakers in 2.1, 4.1, 5.1, 7.1, 8.1, and 10.2 configurations.
